Laisul Hoque

Laisul Hoque is a London-based artist, born in Dhaka, working across installation and film. His practice explores autobiographical histories and how they meet wider political, cultural and emotional currents, often through sculpture, installation and expanded forms of storytelling. He was a finalist for the CIRCA Prize 2024 and won the East London Art Prize 2025. After studying literature in Dhaka, he completed an MA in Contemporary Photography: Practices and Philosophy at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. His work has shown at the Whitechapel Gallery, the Barbican Centre, Experimenta India and the Alliance Française de Dhaka.
