Fouzia Mahin Choudhury

Fouzia Mahin Choudhury is a Bangladeshi artist, researcher and bilingual poet. In 2026 she curated the exhibition Into My Lungs at the Alliance Française de Dhaka, on health problems among textile workers, developing an earlier 2022 exhibition shown in Norway. As a researcher and translator she took part in the 2024 exhibition 36 July in Germany, marking Bangladesh's July revolution. She is associated with the Uronto Artist Community and has made work including the puthi-patachitra Flutterby's Folklore (2024) and What Remains (2019), the unconventional puthi Poa-Baro (2026), and the folk musical Gourarang: an occupied territory (2024). In 2023 she transcribed The International Hearing in Oslo, 1982 for a people's tribunal in Norway, curated the exhibition Where the Lotus Grows at the British Council in Dhaka, and ran a storytelling workshop at the WOW Festival in Dhaka. She has published children's rhyme books with UNESCO and the Asia Foundation, and poetry in The Daily Star. She has also managed art projects for local and international artists through bodies such as the Samdani Art Foundation. Puthi-patachitra is a form of narrative poetry and illustration from ancient Bengal.
