Shohrab Jahan

Shohrab Jahan is an interdisciplinary artist, educator and curator whose practice explores the relationships between landscape, ecology, memory and human experience. Working across moving image, installation, sculpture and artists' books, he investigates the Sundarbans mangrove forest alongside personal histories embedded in everyday objects, local folklore and environmental transformation.
He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Chittagong and holds an MA in Artists' Film from Goldsmiths, University of London, where he studied as a Chevening Scholar. Alongside his artistic practice, he has curated exhibitions including Dheu for Chobi Mela International Festival of Photography and several editions of the Cheragi Art Show. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally through biennales, residencies and museum exhibitions across Asia and Europe.
