Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury

Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury is an interdisciplinary visual artist whose practice moves across sculpture, installation, performance, assemblage, collage, moving image and experimental film. Working through site-responsive and material-based processes, he explores relationships between time, space, memory and community while investigating the entanglement of human and non-human worlds.
Moving image occupies a central place within his practice, functioning as both narrative and spatial intervention. His work has been presented internationally through exhibitions, biennales and residencies including Art Explora in Paris, the Delfina Foundation in London, Rote Fabrik in Zurich, the Dhaka Art Summit, the Asian Art Biennale and India Art Fair. In 2018, he received the Samdani Art Award.
