Fuaduzzaman Fuad

Fuaduzzaman Fuad is a Bangladeshi visual artist, screenwriter and filmmaker based in Sydney, where he is doing a Master's by Research in Film and Screen Arts. His work explores memory, sound, landscape and cultural identity through experimental and narrative forms. His short film The Home in Sound (2021) won Best First-Time Filmmaker at Cannes Shorts 2022, an Honourable Mention at the Lisboeta International Short Film Festival, and Best Director at the Bangladesh Short & Documentary Film Festival; it now streams on the OTT platform Chorki. His later work includes Salvation of Tree (2023), shown in Amsterdam, and Death & Landscape (2024), selected for the 32nd Raindance Film Festival and listed on MUBI. His latest film, Rhythm of Void (2026), is complete, and Choitrer Kafon is in post-production.
